I have seen a very neat (non-power) aftermarket sunroof installation in an '02 that looks OEM at first glance except (1) the shape of the sliding panel is slightly different--not as deep fore and aft and (2) with the roof panel open, there's a "bump" in the forward edge of the opening that houses the crank mechanism. This isn't present on the factory Golde roof assy.

If you look carefully at the brackets and support mechanism inside the car (with the headliner removed, per the pix) you'll see that it was welded in after the car was painted. This would not be the case with a factory installation. That's usually the final giveaway--aftermarket vs factory install.

PS. I've been told that the electric sunroof mechanism on an 02 is the same as was used on the Bavaria, and that the brackets for the motor are in place in the 02 under the headliner...
