Anybody use a getrag 240 from a 320 for a 2002?

and the earlier ones 232's?

At any rate, the 4- speed from the 77-79 320's will work just fine. You'll have to clearance the tunnel, tho.

..318i cars. The better 5-spd. is "245" as found in the 1980-82 E21 320i cars, but the 240 will work for street use just fine. Don't cut the driveshaft until you measure, because the 240 is of a different length then the 245, and most people use the 245 when converting to an overdrive in a 2002.
