Water in cabin after heavy rain, where could it be from???

I got in my car after some heavy rain and I noticed on the carpet behind the drivers seat the carpet was soaking wet, even so there was a little puddle. The car is sitting on a slight down grade, so the back is higher than the front. I don't know where the water could be coming in from because i've never noticed any alarming leakage before. Any ideas. Seals are 30 years old and crusty. Could it run in from the trunk, or is that impossible?

Thanks,

Bryan

the seals around the tail lights are notorious for leaking. My

trunk would get lots of water in the rain until I replaced the

light seals. If yours is parked trunk high, it's conceivable that

the water could run forward into the passenger compartment.

Check your spare tire well. If that's wet you found the culprit.

Other than that the rear vent window rubber can leak, but that

would be fairly obvious-water running down the glass.
