prior to vin 1665200 will work. The first few hundred 02s had mechanical clutch linkages just like the 1600s. Then they modified the 1600 pedal box to take a hydraulic clutch M/C. These are the boxes with the large coil spring and a horseshoe-shaped link that returns the clutch pedal to its rest position. Later pedal boxes use a hairpin spring that surrounds the pedal shaft. If you can find one of these early boxes, compare it with yours...it may be adaptable.
