but not quite, i've got new wheel cylinders in, new s.s. brake lines & new hard brake lines, but I need a new right front caliper for my '72 tii. Is there a good source for these rebuilt? should I buy two? to match.

Is yours beyond repair? Tii calipers are not the cheapest, but rebuild kits are under $20 a side. It's an easy job, do 'em both and you'll be happy.

The same caliper is used on E3, E9 and early E12 (530i), so the u-pull-it yard is always an option (E12's are pretty common) for good cores if yours is too worn or pitted.
