tail pipe location

I've been a 2002 fan since highschool but I've always wonderen

why some have the tail pipe in the middle of the car and some

have them routed to the right. What's up?

for example, the Ansa exhaust system has the tailpipe exiting in the center, regardless what year your car is.

I thought maybe it had to do with Automatic or not, tii or not. No?

...USA spec cars for '75 and '76. It had nothing to do with the automatic, and the tii was discontinued for the USA market at the end of the 1974 model year.

I can't vouch for the eurospec cars.

I had a center twin outlet "Abarth" on my '69 and a twin center outlet "Stebro" on my rebuilt '71. There were other aftermarket units available, too!
