Hi I am rebuilding my 76 '02 and am on the process of ordering parts. I plan to order new connecting rod bearings and main bearings, but I am wondering if I should also order new connecting rod nuts and bolts or could I re-use old bolts?

...change the rod bolts. But I reused them on my race motor and had no problem yet at 7K RPM. I do have a set of brand new bolts and they are easy to install but did not feel the need to do so...

very cheap to replace so way not. Also bmw uses strech bolts which means they are designed to be use one. But is your money so you do as you wish. I have brand new arp for everything, next years rebuild.
