2002 differential gear sets

Anyone know if there is a way to get different gear sets for the stock 2002 differential? or if any particular ring and pinion sets from other bmw's (like maybe an e30 or e36 318) would fit into the 2002's diff housing?

You may be able to get others.

The housing on the 2002 is the smallest, the one found in most E30, E28 is the middle sized and the one found in M535i, M5, M6, 840, 850 is the large diff housings.

To get the middle or large housing to fit under an 02 takes quite a bit of work.
