Hi again Steve,

I know you're likely chasing other issues with the new site (awesome work, BTW), so I'm cautious to mention this additional issue I've discovered.

If you go into General Discussion, and head to the very oldest Threads/Posts (by using the Page navigation buttons) - the threads there all show up missing some data/meta-data.  I don't know how far back in time you were trying to capture/transition/translate old info to the new site - but thought I'd share what I'm seeing.

Example:  on the last page currently - Page 3477.  All the Threads show -1 Replies, and they show as if they were all started by "Guest_*", with a null/blank started-date.  (The # of Views counts show different numbers though, so maybe that part is fine.).  But the most serious issue is that when you click on any of the threads their to view them - they come up completely empty (blank).

Traversing forward a few pages, when I get to Page 3473, things start to improve some.  At this point the threads start to show Replies counts greater than -1, and they now show they were all started by "Guest_Anonymous_*" with a started date of Dec 25, 2001.  They now don't open empty - you can see posts, and the text from posts, but no images in any posts.  And all posts from from the same "Guest_Anonymous_*" user.

Around Page 3460 or so, the Post dates start to increment  - Dec 26, 27, 28, etc.  Moving further forward, I can start to see some images in posts (mainly link images).  It's not until I get to Page 2060 (Oct 14, 2005) do I see a Thread started or replied-to from a real user [username].

From that point things start to look more normal.  Maybe this is all alright, as I recall Oct 15, 2005 was a key date for the FAQ...  B)

Hope this info is useful.

Tom

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
