E30 A/C

Had some A/C work done on the 325ix and it now blows cold air for the first time in my ownership. Everything replaced except for compressor and converted to R-134. I notice that it seems to cycle on / off frequently and this results in an rpm change. I can watch a +/- 200 rpm change when it sits at idle and this is noticeable on the road as well. Normal operation? Compressor cycling too frequently? Ant insight would be great.

Thanks,

If the compressor is cycling that means it's low on freon. Did you have it converted to r-134a? It's not good to keep a compressor cycling, it'll burn out the compressor clutch. Have the leak fixed and recharge the system before you keep running it.
