My car has a remote oil filter as well as an oil cooler. I can take a photo and send it to you if you like. The filter is located right behind the radiator core support on the driver's inner fender. The filter is a rather large one as used for a lot of Fords.

Easiest if your battery tray comes out easily or your

battery's elsewhere. Weld a bracket onto the frame

rail, raising the filter mount bracket to a height

where the filter itself will be high enough to be out

of harm's way yet stil accessible from underneath

the car or from the top if you've got wiggly hands.

Also conveniently gives the advantage of short oil

lines to the original filter housing on the block,

and/or an oil cooler if you run it in the nose of the

car.

Please don't put it in the glovebox. Remember: you

want your flexible oil lines as short as possible

(less so if you're using AN-spec stuff, if you ask

me, but still, for a clean install...). Short lines=less

to break/leak/get in the way of other assorted

doodads or jobs that need to be done.

Just an opinion.

I put the battery in the trunk, took out the tray and put the filter right where the tray was and use a big K & N oil filter, ford v-8 sized. Then it plumbs to a thermostat and oil cooler.
