Rare Cam? "Delong"

Well my recent purchase of a Norris 301 and described "Hardy & Beck" cam turned up an interesting surprise. The "H&B" cam turned out to be a Delong 280 grind. After a bit of searching, I haven't come up with very much info, other than Delong was a local (San Jose) cam guy that did a lot of custom work about 30 years ago (found some info on a Datsun 510 he worked on). The only info here in the archives refers to a 270 grind. Does anyone have any info?

I took some quick measurements and the lobes are about 32.9mm wide on both the intake and exhaust lobes. The base circle is right around 23.5mm. I don't know how this compares to any of the "standard" cams out there. From the looks of it, I'm guessing it's going to be a pretty nice street cam for my 32/36 and eventual Bosch LH 2.2 set up. I'll be popping it in tomorrow if all goes according to plan.

Hey Lloyd, it looks like you last posted this 3 years ago. I just came across the same cam. Do you have anymore information about that? I purchased a 284 regrind from IE thinking the current cam would be stock but it isnt. Any help or knowledge would be appreciated.
