CYLINDER HEAD DAMAGE FEED BACK PLSE

Highgrade

Recommended Posts

Thank you all for your advice, I will go the safety route and disassemble the head before sending it to the TIG welder as the area damaged is very close to of the rocker arms and needs to be hammered back to its place from the inside.

I can't tell from your profile where you are located so it is hard to recommend some a welder local to you.

But the fact it is a new casting deems it more repairable than a used head.

Oil and dirt in the casting is what makes a mess. whom ever you find try to qualify them as aluminum fabricators that can make the repair with a little heat as possible. If you can find a welder who is also qualified to gas weld aluminum you got the right guy. There are a lot of very good race head and block repair guys around the country, chose carefully.
