Does 02 tii mech distributor works with 318 1.8i head?

How about the camshaft does a 02 camshaft fits in the 318 1.8i head?

The cam fits right in like it was made for it. You have to use a 2002 cam with an 02 dizzy as the 318i gear on the cam is incorrect for an 02 dizzy.

I rebuilt my 2002 engine with a 18i head. I stuck my 2002 cam in it and used my dizzy just fine. If your swapping a stock cam in and out, you don't have to drive out the rockers. You can release the rocker arms and wiggle them around the cam lobes as you turn the cam and pull it from the head.

Thanks John, I plan to get a stock 02 cam with a 02 mech dizzy, I guess this should work just fine :-).
