i've got a red coil with petronix. 38/38 weber. have had a slight surging problem at constant throttle for past year or so. not too bad, but still annoying. anyways, i had been running a .024 gap, but now i opened it up to .044 and the problem seemed to go away. am i just masking a deeper problem, or is this the root of all evil surging? thanks

w/ 32/36, Crane xr700 and Crane LS91 coil, W7DC plugs, I put a .44 gap and it ran _great_ for a while but now has developed a definite misfire at idle, still runs awesome everywhere else, though. I was gonna pull the plugs and regap smaller, or if they're fouled, maybe try W8DCs?? What plugs are you running?
