drat - another leak

a couple of weeks ago i rebuilt the heater box. yesterday i noticed leaking antifreeze from what appears to be the heater valve (dripping down into the tray near the windshild wiper motor).

anyone have any experience with a leaky heater valve? can they be rebuilt? how difficult? is it possible that i didn't adjust something correctly on the heater valve (on - off settings?) and that could be causing it to leak?

i'm still experimenting but looks like it leaks worse when the heat is turned off. when it's on not much of a leak at all. figure that free flow prevents fluid pressure buildup behind the shut valve.

anyone think that if i readjust the shut off setting at the valve that it would stop the leaking??

open to any suggestions.
