Ahem, can you hear me now?

I felt that my old fiamm horns lacked a certain umph. So this happened.  Still enough space for the charge pipe, but no real estate for an oil cooler.

I have all but given up on the air conditioning, so I expect that the dryer will evicted in favour of more cooling.

Cheers

I was counting on you to keep the turbo + A/C dream alive. Should I give up before I start?

No.  if there is a place to mount the smog air pump, I think we can mount the compressor there.  Someone posted a picture of an old smog air pump bracket here last week.  I will have to take a look.  For sure it will have to go to the other side.

I am unsure if you can use the atypical pump that is used in the @02hobiedave application.  I forget what model it is, I will have to check, I think it is a Sanden, but I forget the model #.  I think an AC/Delco short compressor would fit. I remember my Dad had an old GM and the pump was squat and fat, or something off a Honda. Maybe we can sneak one up under the alternator.  Folks run superchargers, that is way bigger than an A/C pump on the cold side.

Right now I have a lazerbeam focus on getting the final bit of wiring done, and the fire suppression hose and pull secured so I can get the interior back in,  anything after that is gravy.

Yeah. From what I've seen Sanden seems to be the way to go.

I think I'm going to chance it and assume I can get AC to work because I want to block off the heater box firewall hole and weld on mounting studs for the climate control system before going to paint.

Good luck with the wiring and fire suppression!

I just need to find a painter 😕

Unfortunately you aren't close to Cali.  Tijuana has good folks to do paint from what I can glean from the conversations.

Keep us posted.
