  1. Thanks everyone. I removed the distributor and reinstalled. After a carb adjustment all is well. BestRegards, Scott
  2. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it and will start over, lol. Best Regards, Scott
  3. The car starts and pulls very well. Its just the idle that's got me perplexed.
  4. Mine is manually switched and I left it on curve 4 which was great before the removal, repair and replacement. I set it with the green light and twisted the body very little if at all when finding the steel ball at 1400 rpm with the vacuum advance line removed from the distributor and plugged.
  5. Thanks for the help. My 1,2,3 is the manually switched type unit.
  6. HI and thanks. Repaired, manually switched, 123 distributor installed. Set TDC with cam gear line at oil bar. Timed car to steel ball at 1400 rpm. Car running well though not as perfect as before removing the distributor. Not as ‘free’ if that makes any sense at all but quite well. The repair was having the improved shaft installed, which doesn’t allow oil infiltration. And, now it will idle super low or even stall when I finish decelerating at a light or what have you. It is intermittent. I reset my a/f screw as per weber instructions and idle set screw as well. Same issue with the idle. Any ideas? The brake booster hose from the intake manifold does not appear to be cracked allowing an air leak. Thank You, Scott
  7. I also had a cap coming off issue. Zip ties around the bottom works like a charm. Have a great weekend. Scott
  8. Hi, I installed a manually switched 1,2,3 distributor. I have a 1974 with a factory replaced engine from 1984. I have a Weber 32/36 on it and it is stock otherwise. I am wondering what curve people are happiest with who have run the manually switched, 1,2,3. Thank You, Scott
  9. Looking to buy plastic inner seat covers in good shape, left and right.

  12. After reading here, it seems I need a gl4 hypoid gear oil, 80/90w for my steering box. When I am searching for some to buy, some say Gl4 but don't mention 'hypoid', some are synthetic, etc. May I ask the name of what you use which is currently available? Many Thanks, Scott
  13. Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the size of the hole at the end of the arrow I drew. Foam is on the outside so I can't get a good measurment and from the inside it's a bit challenging. I wish to buy some sealing caps and want to buy the correct size. Many Thanks, Scott
  14. Thank you again. I got it at the dealer, in stock! Haven't been able to get under car sInce. Down with a fever. You're the man Tzei!

  17. Had my transmission swapped yesterday. Car is an early 74 with early shifter. Later that day I'm on the side of the road with the shift rod no longer attached to the transmission rod. I understand (am I correct) that there is a dowel pin that goes through the assembly before putting the 'sleeve' over it which is what you see in this pic, which looks very close to mine, blurry pic. Can't find part number on realoem. Thanks for your help. Best Regards-Scott
