    well thanks for responding anyway! looking forward to meeting some locals to learn more about the 2002 cars. I'm reading as much as I can, but it seems as though there is a lot of assumed knowledge when it comes to these cars.

    thank you gentlemen! Just trying to figure out how rare my newly acquired 76 is with automatic, no sunroof and A/C. i ordered a whole basket full of maintenance parts saturday that will be at the shop this morning when i get there! I'm like a little kid at christmas time.

    I am new to the 2002 model BMW's. I know on the later models a non-sunroof or "slicktop car" is more rare, but it seems the 2002 it was more common to not have a sunroof. Which is more rare? to have or not to have a sunroof? Also, how rare was the auto transmission versus the manual transmission? One last one, how rare is A/C on a 2002? Thanks for any input guys. Trying to get myself up to speed here on my new ride.

    The ECU has a Dinan chip in it already. I'm shocked that the owner hasn't posted about this yet.... He was giggling like a school girl when he drove it yesterday.

I am hoping to turn this car into a reliable daily driver. hoping to find someone who has a stash of random parts they want to get rid of or willing to let me sift thru and buy some random stuff. need front drivers turn signal lens manual swap parts spare dash to play with (for DIY repair) few random trim pieces Thanks guys, and looking forward to meeting some of you.
