    Yellow tape is non-suppressed from what I read in the restortation guide. I will pull it off and check for terminal numbers on the bottom. It's hooked to the the VR box.

    @Mike - No AC in this car. And none installed prior as far as I can tell. @donbike - Thanks. I tend to agree with you and the others. I'm going to remove it. No radio in the car either.

    Sure I will get some better pics and post them. It may very will be some sort of noise suppressor in line. It looks absolutely factory with no crimping and even a net around the short harness. @Son of Marty - The prong are identical to the VR. Thanks all.

    It has three prongs just like a the voltage regulator. There is a short harness (~3") with another three prong connector that actually plugs into the VR. There are no other inputs/outputs.

    Hi all, I have a question regarding a small box that is tied to the voltage regulator in my '72 tii. This box is connected to the voltage reg via a short harness with a 3-prong connector. The 3-prong connector from the main harness to the alternator plugs into the smaller box. I'm wondering its function and if it can be eliminated. Any ideas? Pic included below... Thanks, Jeff
