  1. +1 for what Dave said about Patrick at Midnight. He is always willing to help and give advice. Russ
  2. Ian, Steve is right. You can rub that plastic with a credit card and then peel off at an angle (about 30-45 degrees) and it should peel right off and leave the letters. The first shipment for Mid America went out to Jeff today. So if you want any in Arkansas, see Jeff, and the others are set to go to John for Vintage. I still have about 18 of the short ones and 20 of the longs if you are not going to vintage or Mid-America. Russ
  3. Jim, That is a family favorite with my sons! Gordon, We are going to continue the E30 hunt for the youngest son. We have about a year till he is 16 so we will have time to ferret out a good one, and oh hell yes with a stick!
  4. Thanks All for the opinions on the car. I keep pushing a 4cy his way and I like the idea of making him pay the difference in insurance! I think most any car with the exception of something with about 15 hp is to much for some of these kids. (no disrespect to you younger guys here) We will keep the search on for a STICK SHIFT car..."If you can't drive a stick, you might as well get a minivan" my son said. We have always had a car or truck with a stick. It's the only way to learn. It keeps you in the game so to speak. As far as the decal, it is a bit confrontational I thought. I think it would be good for a lemons race! Or cart track. Thanks again guys!
  5. Also you can try the wrecking yard and see if they will sell you buggered up panels that they would only get scrap prices for.
  6. So my son wants a BMW. He thinks he needs an E30. Who wouldn't that is almost 15. So I suggest a 318i or an 02...NOPE needs a 325is...right I say, so how are you going to pay for this mister. SO he comes up with this to follow up the RESPECT YOUR ELDERS decal...for the back window of every BMW in town...uh huh I say....or is he a marketing genius and should I get BMW on the phone.... Thoughts? will this sell? Thanks, Russ
  7. Thanks Guys, I believe all are in the mail. If I missed anyone PLEASE let me know asap and I will get them out. UPDATE>>>>>>> ABOUT 18 OF THE SMALL ONE LEFT AND 22 OF THE LARGE ONE. ALSO AT MID-AMERICA SEE JEFF(HUSKER2002) HE WILL HAVE ABOUT 50-60 OF THEM AND AT VINTAGE JOHN(JOHN IN VA) WILL HAVE THEM OR THEY WILL BE AT THE MOOSEHEAD BOOTH. Best, Russ
  8. I did it on my e39. I held the funny looking thing I made on the bolts while I loosened the big nut on the fan clutch holding the fan. I am sorry Esty, I don't know exactly what the 325 looks like up front. the big nut was a bugger to put back on too.
  9. Esty, I think it takes the "special wrench" http://www.amazon.com/Clutch-Wrench-Water-Pump-Holder/dp/B004NUZ50I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334108135&sr=8-1 I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/Assenmacher-Specialty-Tools-8032-Clutch/dp/B003QI0G34/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1334108135&sr=8-3 and made the holder off a link I found on the internet. the holder is the silly looking thing in the first link. I'll see if I still have the link for the pattern to make the "holder" Best, Russ
  10. Dave, email me thru the faq. Paypal is fine. Check is too. Russ
  11. Matt, Email coming your way. Ken, that is awesome! My son took my toolbox when he got the Tech job at the Acura dealer. I hope the Acura shop like the BMW decals on it! UPDATE...John in VA will have some decals at Vintage and Jeff (husker2002) will have them at Mid-America if you want to get some from those guys. Thanks, Russ
  12. Jeff has been fully vetted and has been deemed the perfect person (ok, the only volunteer to bring decals to Mid-America) So if you are there and want a "Respect Your Elders" decal, look up Jeff, he will have the stash.... Best, Russ p.s. Thanks Jeff!
  13. Hi Jeff, You have just been nominated to be trustworthy. If you want email me thru the FAQ and we can set something up if you want. I have someone already to take some to Vintage... Russ
  14. Matt, don't let my wife know that unless your wife knows Cindy Crawford. She(my wife) just gave me a free pass if I can get a date with Cindy Crawford! Oh, wait, decals. Yes, back to reality. They are ready to go and I have my son helping mail out today. Best, Russ
  15. Email me thru the FAQ and maybe we can run some. Russ
  16. They are an exterior vinyl decal. I have had one on my E39(the one pictured above) for the last year about and ran it thru the carwash 4 or 5 times to seed if anything would happen. Nothing so far. That and all the rain we get up here it has held up nicely. HTH, Russ
  17. please email me thru the FAQ email button. thanks much, Russ
  18. Thanks Guys and Esty :-) I think I have replied to everyone who has emailed me so far and if there is enough desire, I will explore the t-shirts or sweatshirts(hoodies for you young'ens) Russ
  19. Bill, They are an exterior vinyl.(Rub on Vinyl) I'll be picking up at the printer on Friday the 6th and update this post to inform everyone they are ready to go. (then I'll have my son get them ready to mail out on the 7th) thanks much, Russ
  20. Tony & Larry, Shoot me an email thru the FAQ. thanks, Russ
  21. SO THEY ARE HERE-> I just got home. Day started at 4:22 a.m. Dog barking... and wondering if I had to ride the bus to work...My E39 blew a coil pack in half and I found a spark plug hole stripped tonight....argh. NOW on to the good news! The decals are here, I will have pictures tomorrow. I changed the font a bit so the decal is a bit larger than the last run. And Jason (the printer) got me a better BMW logo on it. I saved all the emails from the folks that missed the first run so you will be getting an email from me TOMORROW to see if you still want any. So....if you want any, just email me thru the FAQ or post this link to another site if you have any friends with classic BMW's that might want a couple. I SAVED ALL THE EMAILS I RECEIVED IN THE LAST WEEK SO NO NEED TO EMAIL ME IF YOU ALREADY DID. They are going to be $5 each for the long ones and still $4 each for the short ones. Postage paid in the US. If any folks outside the US want any, just let me know and I will figure out postage to you. If there is enough demand, I will run T-shirts and maybe sweatshirts (hoodies to you young folks). STILL CONTEMPLATING THIS>>> Thanks and LETS DRIVE!(and in my case, lets undercoat the wheel wells and finish taking the sound deadening out this weekend as soon as I go buy dry ice friday morning. Best, Russ
