I wish I had the set-up on the cover. Does the book cover 32/36 webbers?

Oh, man, just when the couple documents I have made me believe that I pretty well had it all, c.d.iesel shows about 30 other manuals/pubs that I don't. Now I'm back to novice! (Wait, I am one.)

Thanks Esty. I had tried searching, but didn't go far enough back in time. It sounds like paintscratch.com ($$$) or Chrysler's "Cool Vanilla" ($) are the key fall-backs. Does anyone know the paint code for "cool vanilla"? Thanks again, your guys are great at keeping me on track!

I have a '69 2002 that has some "bruises" on its orginal Chamonix paint. Eventually I am going to do a body-off repaint when I get the money. Until then (could be a while), I'm trying to find some touch-up spray paint that won't totally embarass me nor get me thrown out of the BMW community. Any suggestions on where to find some paint that's matches or is close to a match?

Sorry, I lost touch with my computer for a while....Is the front sheet metal (center portion below the grill, under the bumper and lower) available. The metal on my '69 is about gone. Thanks for looking.

Looking for a reasonably priced (i.e., less than the $70 generally available price for new) ignition switch.. just the electrical portion. I don't need the column lock or any of the other column mounting hardware. Please email hsarmstrong@comcast.net. ***Thanks for all the terrific responses, I found a good inexpensive used one***

For the nose sheet metal, I was thinking $50 to a $100 depending on its condition. I would want to see pics before zeroing in any closer. Thanks for the bounceback. Harold

Are your grilles still available? Or did they sell eventually on ebay? Thanks. Harold

Is the nose still available (around the grill)? If so, what kind of condition is it? Thanks. Harold

Steve: Thanks for the bounceback, but the part#34111103289 is for the vin's greater than 1664XXX, and my vin is 1663275. Big difference because the part number you gave is a for a "4 piston" caliper, while mine is two piston. Thanks again though for giving it a shot!

C.D.Isiel: Thanks for the leads. I was hoping to find cheaper seal sets but it looks like that's not going to happen. Thanks again. Harold

After sitting for years, I am rebuilding the front calipers from my 1969 2002 (vin 1663275 built 9/1968) -- the two piston per caliper type. Of course the pistons were frozen in the bores, so I had to split the left caliper. The article explaining the rebuild process posted here in Mar 09 from Australia has been helpful (I found the bolts), but... I can't seem to get the right caliper rebuild kits (the seals in the supposedly "proper" kits are too small for the piston by about 8-10mm). The handbook says the my pistons are 48mm diameter. In addition, I can't find the little rubber washer-shaped seals that go between the caliper halves. Anyone know how to find the right kits (other than the $50 listed by maximilian importing)? Or how to find the little seals that go between the caliper halves? Thanks for whatever advice you can share. Harold

Thanks for the lead. I have sent an email. Harold

Anything left of your '71? I looking for the front sheet metal, especially the lower front nose part around and under the exterior grilles.

Hi. You wouldn't happen to have an extra mounting plate/bracket which is screwed onto the door exterior and on which the mirror attaches? Or any suggestions on where to find one.
-
Hi: Do you have the tube (metal with a short length of rubber) that runs between the bottom of the fluid reservoir for the hydraulic clutch, and the clutch master cylinder? I'm after one of those. And, if you have the hose that runs between the clutch m/c and the slave cylinder that's in good shape, I'd take one of those too (mine's kind of skanky). Thanks. Harold

Received the Steering Wheel and it looks terrific. Thanks! Harold

Jack: I got the flag you shipped me and it looks great. Thanks.

The spare wheel well has several perforations that were filled bondo, looks ok but has typical rot where it was in constant contact with the spare tire. Its repairable in my opinion, I can cut it out for $25 + S/H. Your second inline for the pedal box surround, first with $ gets it. The complete pedal box w/ sorrounding metal is available for $40 + S/H. I have the interior panels listed in another ad with photos for $30 each / $50 pair + S/H. The exterior firewall pad is pretty dry rotted - I'm not sure I can get it off in one piece. Send me your email and I can reply with pics.
Much sounds like it's the same condition as mine. I was hoping (fantasy!) there were no perforations. Thanks for the quick reply. I'll go look around for the door panel listing. Harold

I'll take your flag if it is still available. Sending separate email. Thanks, Harold

I've sent an email on the metal steering wheel shroud.

Do you still have the mirror, and are you going to post any photos? Thanks. Harold
