  1. I have a 76 2002, which is prettry well stripped except for the drivetrain and suspension. I'm chasing a couple guys who may be able to pull together most of the parts I would need to get it back on the road, but the price is starting to look high enough that I will possibly be looking for a low dollar driver instead. Anyway, the car currently has no wiring harness, and is missing the two barrel carb that it came with. I am putting in the distributor, coil, wires, etc and will try to see if she'll fire up (using starting fluil) at least temporarily. If the engine does run, this may be a candidate for your project. I hope to do this in the next couple days.

  2. Regarding structural integrity, do all Tii's have the tubular reinforcing bars bolted between the top of the strut towers shown in the photos? If not, then it seems to me that it must have been added to cover some sort of compromised strength in the front engine box. Nonetheless, such a vehicle would fetch $2k here in the midwest IMO (I'm looking for a any 2002 with a shot body just to move all the parts over to the glider I have). 'Course, I'm the newbie to the group.

  3. I'm looking for a rust bucket/low dollar late 2002 in the midwest for parts, within a day's drive or so from SE Michigan. I have a 76 '02 that has excellent sheet metal, but has been pretty well stripped of details. Pike is helping a ton, but I need so much. Willing to pay cash or/and or swap a 5 speed trans depending on condition. Email me at hsarmstrong at comcast dot net.

  4. I have accumulated some speedos in an effort to get my roundie's working. I have some needles from different versions, what what specific speedo needle do you need (classic silver dollar, later models, etc), or are they all the same?

  5. If you do sell off parts, I'd be interested in the taillight assemblies, carb linkage & aircleaner as well as as much of the dash board (and all associated part/cluster) you're willing to sell & ship. Let me know as I am chasing Pike for his '76 as well. Thanks, Harold

I'll take some photos tonight and you can let me know what u think. Also, provide your zip so i get a guesstimate on shipping.

48304. Thanks for the photos. Harold

  7. Hmm, when I was 16 with my "first" motorvehicle... I fired the sparkplug out of my Zundapp 250 motorcycle like a mortar. I had put it in finger tight (got sidetracked getting the wrench) as a final repair anxious to take my Saturday afternoon ride (til it broke again). With no front fender and a clear trajectory, it went a good 40 feet. Fortunately, I found it, screwed it back in, and drove home to tighten it correctly. Drove it for another hour til something more serious broke (another week's work to drive it the following Saturday). That was a long time ago.. but I don't think I'm any smarter.

  8. Pike: I have a 76 parts car (with entire drive train & suspension... but little else) that could be a good wedding partner to yours. I hate to show my ignorance, but what year is yours and about how much would you want? Email me at hsarmstrong at comcast dot net if you're so inclined. Thanks. Harold

  9. Hey, they must have really clobbered you to leave a dent like that.. the bumpers are pretty solid aren't they? I'm new to my 2002, and I thought the bumpers could withstand a lot (if the other vehicle doesn't ride up over 'em). Now I'm nervous for my car!
