The cables have no sliders. Nothing to attach to the sunroof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Buyers beware. After waiting a month, I just received the sunroof cables this guy sold me. One is missing the mounting bracket entirely and the other bracket is broken. Useless. Hope you spent my $50 well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any update on the sunroof cables I paid for December 20? No word about shipping or a tracking number. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I'm looking for both sunroof cables. If they're available, how much? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. As the weather warms up, I've been daily driving my '76 back and forth to work (5 mile round trip). A couple of weeks ago the idle jumped up from the normal 800 rpm to 2,000. A couple of throttle blips and it returned to normal. The problem increased and now sticks at 2k full time. I looked at the carb and the second barrel is wide open and sucking fuel. Guess that means the choke is stuck open. Does anyone have advice on how I can remedy the high idle issue? Thanks
  6. I'm in need of a pair of Gland Nuts to install Bilstein Sports (replacing stock units). Does anyone have a pair they're willing to part with? Thanks Location: Provo, UT
  7. No longer needed. Thanks
  8. Very interested in the gas tank. Is it rust free? Please email photo to: ln at studio-element dot com Thank you
  9. Grover's recent photo shop post got me curious to see pics of FAQer 02s with modern, non-BMW/BBS/Rota-style wheels If you have a pic, please share. Thanks
  10. The story just took a sad turn. After removing the fan to get a full rotation on the crank pulley, a rattling cowbell-like sound jarred from inside the block. The sound of loose metal climaxes at the 12:00 position and won't let the crank complete a full rotation. Give it to me straight, Doc. Is my $300 car about to get real expensive? If the body and interior were decent I wouldn't have this hesitation...but they're not. Guesss I'm just looking for some reassurance. I don't have the money for a pro rebuild but don't mind tinkering on my own if I know it's going to be worth it.
  11. Back to square one. Hooked up the battery and still no life from the starter. I'll retrace the original advice here ands see what happens. Gracias
  12. Thanks guys. After a few nights of adding oil to the plug holes and a little breaker-bar persuasion, the engine broke free. I'll now follow the steps BarryA laid out and let you know how it goes: " drain the oil, replace the filter, remove the valve cover and pour oil all over the top of the cylinder head, finish filling it with oil, and crank it with the plugs out until the oil pressure light goes out."
  13. Thanks guys. I picked up a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil on my way home today and poured it in the spark plug holes. Will add a little more each day and work on it with a breaker bar. Meantime, do you know what size the socket is on the crank pulley nut? It's huge. Gracias
  14. Thanks everyone for the input and suggestions. Starting with the basics, I put the car in 4th and tried rocking back and forth. The fan didn't budge, so I'm suspecting I'm looking at a seized motor. I'll go through the step you've provided at freeing up the pistons and keep you posted. Thanks
  15. Bought a 74 02 that has sat for the last decade. Previous owner says it was a daily driver that was retired for no apparent reason. Installed a new battery and replaced all fuses, but I don't get any action from the starter when I turn the key. Does sound like a small "click" comes from the solenoid, but no engagement. Headlights and rear lights work (turn signals don't). Pulled the starter and had it tested at the local parts store. It fired right up. Any ideas? Thanks for any advice.
  16. How much for the kidney and grill? Lathum ln @ studio-element .com
  17. Are the grilles still available? If so, I'll take 'em. ln @ studio-element .com Thanks
  18. Hi Mac, I didn't receive your email. Can you try again? Do you have the grilles and kidney? ln @ studio-element dot com Thanks, Lathum
  19. I'm working on reviving a '74 and wanted to see if there are any shops or home-mechanics that specialize in 02s in Utah County. I plan on doing most of the cosmetic and basic mechanical stuff myself (this is my first 02), but could use a good reference if things go south. Thanks
  20. Looking for a grill and kidneys to give my rusted old gal a little dignity. I'm not looking for concours-level quality. Thanks ln at studio-element dot com
  21. The link to the front left fender doesn't work...can you re-post?
  22. Do the front fenders have rust? Is it $85 for the pair or each?
  23. Thanks for the quick responses. While I like the two-tone look, I'm particularly interested in seeing wheels painted entirely black or entirely dark grey.
