What'd that kit run at Korman? Seeing as they haven't updated their site since 1997, and don't feel that listing prices is all that important, it's always hard to get an idea of what they run.

Yea, got an almost new Bosch Mech dizzy off a Tii ready to go. Was just trying to determine the best course of action for a pump. If a fresh stock pump works, I'm happy.

That's what I like to hear. A new 130 dollar pump sounds better than a new 300 dollar pump or screwing with wiring.

Gruppe,
Indulge me a bit here, searching has been somewhat dry as to what I'm looking for.
Judging by Max's site, RealOEM, pelican, etc, it looks like the 2002Ti used the same mechanical fuel pump as the "standard" '02. For some reason I had thought it ran a different unit.
Am I reading that right? If I were to slap on a set of rebuilt Solex's off a Ti on an otherwise fairly stock motor, would I be okay sticking with the stock mechanical pump? Other option I'm looking at would be the modded bavaria pump, really don't want to deal with an electric unit.

Where'd ya get the center-exit Ansa from?

So...I'm not following.
On most modern cars running synthetics, 3000 mile oil changes are way overkill. 6-8k changes are usually perfectly fine, and some people are doing 15k with a filter change. On my M50 & M44 powered cars, I'm running Mobil one and swap it out every 6-7k with no ill effects, the '02 drinks dino juice 20w50 and changes its own oil.

"Daily Driver" 35+ year old car and "Ohio salt" don't really go together. Carbed cars and single degree temps like we've been seeing aren't really conducive to DD work either, just as an aside.

There's a local group to look at.
Doug covered the basics, as did CD. Latest issue of "Bimmer" magazine on newsstands has a nice little buyers guide as well.

What's your price range? Budget at least 5k if you want a solid, sorted, no worries mechanically sound square light car, more if you want older and prettier. Mechanically there's nothing scary on these cars, save for carburation and timing if you're on the younger side like some of us. Even then, with something like a Weber 32/36, it's about as hammer and nail simple as you can get.

Few more progress shots:
No more park benches!

Start hitting the crap out of the search button.

Earlier bumper, 71-73 with the '72 mounting brackets. It's not as painful as it looks. See attached.

Cool?
Got an actual link to the parts?

You ought to try a WRX forum. So far the e30 (R3VLimited) isn't so bad but it has it's share...
John
As long as you stick to the tech forums and avoid the "OT" and "Member's rides" section of R3v like the plague, it's tolerable.

Sent you an email. I'll take 'em if you've still got them.

As others mentioned, no M42 content. You get to snag an e36 manual for that.

Kinda looks like an "81", which would be a Lancia Fulvia, front end looks sorta right in the quick clip.

Yea yea, I know, search, dead kittens, etc.
Didn't find anything. Anyone got a shot of a car with the Rota RBs installed on it, still riding on stock, or stock ride height suspension? Like to see what sorta gap I'm looking at.
Thanks

Bill, what hardware did you use to mount that?
Did you use any special prep coatings before painting it?

Just a heads up programming note.

Weld in a larger resonator?

As CD said, break out the vice grips. Last set of BP6ES's I had required me to stick them in a vice and use pliers to remove the end cap.

Shoot him an email with the VIN, he's the contact at Mobil Trad/Classic, he can give you the build sheet & shipping info.

Yes and No. They physically fit however the seat belt will be in the way.l
Charlie Grafton did it. Works fine I believe..
Actually, I pulled the rear belts out to get it to fit nicely. You could definetly keep them in if you "massaged" and modded the seat a bit, but in stock configuration it doesn't quite fit.

Sent you an email regarding the 008.

A cute one, about mid-late twenties with C-cups and blond hair mounted to the right of the driver.

So my friend just showed me these two videos which proceeded to make me ever so slightly scared of what would happen if a 2002 were to ever be crashed into a large modern car... Anyone have any reassuring remarks about this other than don't crash?
So, it took a youtube video for you to realize that a 2000 lb vehicle built to mid 60's crash standards might not be ideal to get into a big wreck with?

WTB: Sidedraft linkage (solex carbs, warneford manifold)
in Parts Wanted

Well, yea, pretty much exactly what it states in the title. Looking to see if anyone has anythng floating around that would work for a set of Solex C40s on a warneford intake manifold.
Would prefer a Ti-style or clone, IE a rod vs cable setup, but I'm open to anything.
What ya got?
