Anybody got a part number for a fuel injection type hose clamp to be used for the 12mm x19 mm vacuum hose from intake to brake booster on a 74 Tii? It is also called a NORMA clamp. I am using worm gear clamps now except for one orginal type and there is no part number on it or on Real OEM or MAX.

I never had much luck with the slide hammer. I borrowed a Snap on pilot rremoveal tool and it came right out. Later I bought a cheap one on sale at Harbor Freight but never have used it , but it was cheap. try Harbor Freight

you have to use the rear diff cover off a 2002 and bolt it on the 320 diff.

Iat least that what I remember that I had to do.

On my 74 Tii there is a metal loop mounted just behind the Krugelfischer. It is mounted on the same bracket that holds the dip stick. There is a rubber grommet that goes in the loop. What hose or cable is supposed to go thru this loop? The brake booster hose seems tto big. Is it a fuel line?

my bracket was not tii specific.

but my bracket bolted to the york bracket so both were used ad you could slide them around a bit.

you might be able to lengthen the bolt holes some more to slide yours back

I have used clear but it turned yellow. Meatl mask is a different product . it is kinda silver . it looks like bear metal but I don't think it can handle the heat.

Eastwood has a cleqr high heat product that is clear. I have orderd it but haven't tried it yet Is is clear Diamond extreme.

I just used high heat enamel on calipers

I am thinking about replacing mine but is it really neessary? Mine has a big hole in it that was burned when my exhaust manifold had a leak. The replacement part is $140 and is called Sound Insulation. I have insulated for sound on the inside. Can I just remove the old one and forget about it or is it needed for heat insulation?

Anybody running without it?

Has anybody replaced the fire wall insulation without removing the engine?

Do you slide it in from the bottom or the top?

The cv joints are the same thickness , the half shafts themselves are longer. so you replace the 320 cv joint on one end of each half shaft with a cv joint from a 2002 so the bolts will match. be sure to use locktite on cv allen bolt cause they back out sometimes. especially on a very long trip. ask me how I know.

My daughter goes to Grad school in Florida. She has not been home since last Summer. Her mother and I let her fly home for Christmas since it was such a long drive from Florida to Louisiana. She had to drive over an hour to the airport to begin her journey, so she caught a ride to the airport with a girl that that goes to the University of St. Augustine PT school with her. Katie is from Houston and was on the same flight out of Florida. They left early yesterday and once they got to the airport, they found out their flight to Houston was delayed. As they were waiting they started talking about going home. Katie tells Emily that her dad has been to Shreveport, Emily’s hometown. She said “ He drove his old BMW up to Shreveport for some Mardi Gras Parade.” Emily says “That’s my Dad’s event, Der Krewe of 02.” Turns out Katie’s dad is my buddy , Chris Ward from Houston. Both girls got to Houston and then Emily found out that her next flight home was delayed until that night, so she text messaged Katie. Katie and her dad turned around and went back to get Emily. They took her to lunch and then home and kept her entertained until her flight left. Emily even got to see Chris’s BMW 2002, but she said mine was a lot better. After Emily got home, I found out Katie was not just a girl she caught a ride with but was one of the PT students that she hung around with at school the most. They never knew that their dads knew each other. As I have said before “Der Krewe of 02 Rules!”
