also will spawn the increase in value of the cars that have been tastefully modified and or mechanically upgraded.
Cris
Welll I have no intentions of selling, but it would be nice to think my car is worth something more than what it is currently.
Tastefully modified is the secret anyway. ;-P

Thanks Armond... I have webspace, I just have to have a chat to my webman to sort it out.

Thanks guys... I thought photobucket allowed me to host them to have them in different sizes. I will send them to my web guy and get him ot host them on my website.

A number of people asked for a larger sized version of the image I took last Friday on our early morning 2002 run along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia.
I have put together a range of sizes for all that are interested. It is asked, if you could be so kind to donate a small amount to our '02faq if you plan on using it as your background. It is not mandatory, but I thought it would be a nice gesture.
There are a number of sized options HERE that you can click on and download...
This is what this site is ALLLLL about - 02's, our love for them and the open road... you cant hear the whining or bickering over a barky '02 exhaust at 5000RPM.
Keep 02in. Seasons Greetings.

It looks like it is in good conodion, just very dirty... there is a fair bit of work to do to it to get it anywhere near the Elite Tii standards set by 3 or 4 here though...

vBulettin allows you to "block" a users posts, it comes up with a descrete message where the poster has posted saying "You have this user blocked. To view post, click here [hyperlink]".
This allows you to decide who you see and has nothing to do with what the mod team - which makes it totally personal and anonymous.

Not right, but it's Esty - she loves to be a shit eater of the highest order.

Lets not start on Cris, he is one of the most helpful '02faqers around. He has always been a great help to me with many questions, not to mention real stuff like helping getting Steve's car back on the road, or helping with Armond's car when it was playing up...
He has a multi-award winning car and more than enough knowledge on 2002's to sink a ship. He completes his own work and has been innovative, whilst been tasteful with his modifications. Not only does his car wins awards for its outstanding appearance, the "mauve purple car" (Fjord colored to all those who know!) goes around tracks as well.
Whether it is your taste or not, I would have that car over 99.9% of the 2002s belonging to people on this site. There are far worse people around this site that deserve a basting, Cris is not one.

Put a trap door in it with no return for the petrol... dont fill it up too much. It is going to be painful if you have anything in the trunk if you want to fill up.

My favorite too Cris! Very neat looking little beast you have going Kris! I look forward to hearing more about your build up.

Hahaha controversy :-P I didnt get to bed until about 2:30 last night... incase you were wondering why I was slurring my words. There was work to be done that was not going to stand in my way of a run with the 02 boys.
I can send you bigger shots - or host them on PB, but they are not really that sharp to warrant poster size unfortunately. Good from afar, but far from good :-(

will do a bit later... gotta have a cat nap now.

Wow... this about sums up why this is one of my favorite places.
(How is the house on the hill too - it is quite a famous Aussie architectural piece)
The Dawn assault - Canon 20D/17-85mm lens/80mph over my shoulder out the side of the cobra!

Michael, it is summer, but on the coast at 5:45am it is still cold - especially when you are travelling at 100mph in an open topped car - me in the army jacket - my dad in the blue jacket.

Hey Ash,
I personally avoid car covers at all cost. The reason is why Esty stated. Unless the car and cover are perfectly clean every time you put the cover on, the dirt and fabric will leave micro abrasions on the paint surface.
Is it waterproof also? Cause this is what you really want for a car cover if you are storing it outside - that and a nice thick cover if you are in Sydney where they have hail storms that spit tennis ball sized icey chunks onto your car...

Tom, I like your second pic... the car looks sweet... although it looks like it has tinted windows and I dont like tint :-P
The video is cool, you just need sound! It isnt half as good as it could be with sound... twin carbs! cold morning! WOT! smiling faces!

Do try an get all the way to Warramboul (sp). Great place to eat, see joeys, koalas, emus and just hang out. Amazing side roads once you head inland too. I can only imagine with a well sorted 02 the fun to be had.
I heard that one of the sisters came down last year. I thank my lucky star to have seen one more than lots of people...
How's the fire season affecting you guys? Brings back lots of memories. Probably the best 7 months of my life....Ahhh Australia. Pierre
Pierre, we didnt make it to Warnambool (sp?) we only went as far as Apollo Bay then headed back toward Melbourne. The 2002 is perfect for the road - especially when it is sorted like Tom's beast. We (in the cobra saw 100mph on one section, but the rest of the time was between 40-60mph and that is fairly well getting along.
As for the "Sisters" I assume you mean the 12 Apostles... yeah, they are down to 7 now I think. (There is the 3 sisters in the Blue Mountains - west of Sydney).
I'm sure you are welcome any time!

Hey mate! What a top morning! Thanks for organising.
I am pretty wind burnt and I really felt the cold, but had a blast!
I have a few pics, but because I was a farquit, I forgot to charge the camera and the battery ran out. NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!
Bit blurry, but the colors look awesome I think... more coming!
The cop... hahahaha, very funny stuff. Dad and I drove away laughing, but it was more of a "hahah, shit we were lucky" laugh!
I was ready this morning... I dashed back inside to get the camera and dad was always taking the Cobra if he was coming :-) which he did.
We were highly impressed by your corner lines, sorry to put a bit of a dampner on up in front, we wanted everyone to arrive safely. While the route was mucked up and about 1 hour was added to the trip than we hoped, it was a good morning! I hope Shaun got to work in a reasonable time.
Cheers,
Todd

My 74 is the same Harv... I looked into that too.
I strengthened my factory mounts with better welds and painted it all up black. I towed the car last year off these without a trouble.
I towed off my back one which was reallllllly dodgy when I had a seized diff with no troubles.

Thank you. I had no idea I even took the picture as at the time my camera ran out of battery about 5 shots after! I was so happy to find it when I got home and put the pictures on my computer.
