Fuel sending unit question

Hi All

I need to change my fuel sending unit and also my instrument panel for some aftermarket gauges, my question:

Is this sending unit fits in my fuel tank (1970), thanks for any info.

that looks to just be the float, minus the metal tube that draws from the tank

I replaced mine with a used sending unit from 2002 ad a couple of months ago

there are different length sending units for different years (had to go through a pile of a couple hundred sending units)

if I did it again I might go with someone cheaper but I would still go stock on something like that

if you do get a used stock one make sure to clean it well
