Part # for strut housing bolts

Strangely, I'm having a bear of a time finding a parts # for the three bolts that hold the bottom of the strut housing to the pitman arm. They need to be drilled for the safety wire. Dealer couldn't find a number. Can't find it on Max. Anyone?

You and the dealer need to try harder.. ;p)

I'm guessing you were looking to find those bolts in the "front axle" main group, where the struts are shown.

Think about what the bolts are used for -- they fasten the "steering arm" that connects the strut/knuckle assembly to the tie rod.

Look in main group 32 STEERING => 32/05 MECHANICAL STEERING

The bolts are shown on the drawing with the STEERING LINKAGE/TIE RODS

Turns out my neighborhood BMW mechanic has them and will sell them for the same price as Max. So I'm good.

They're actually item # 15 part number 32211113178. The figure doesn't show the extended head for the safety wire but it is the correct part. $7.85 each ouch!
