5 bolt axle

how hard is it to do the conversion or what ever you need to do that . . ive seen it on a few . . i have pictures if you dont know what im talking about.

to the best of my knowledge, there is no easy bolt on to adapt the four lug hubs to receive five lug wheels. The easy answer is to adopt the five lug system from the larger 6cyl models. Again, the answer is easy but the application is not.* I have heard that someone tried metal adapters - something similar to what could be used to change the bolt pattern on early Beetles and Type 2 Vans. I can't imagine those adapters would add to safety nor have I actually seen these things used on 02's

It may be that Paul Cain accomplished the feat of which you inquire, but I expect it took considerable effort and expense.
