Installed Pertronix, lost the tach

Any ideas on how to get the tach working again after putting in a Pertronix pointless ingnition? Car started right up (after I reset the Dizzy to tdc because I didn't reclamp the Dizzy after I took it out) and runs just as crappy as before. Not Ignition's fault, the carb is wayyyy out of wack. thanks in advance. MUDI

Black wire coming from tach, through firewall, down firewall and around to coil, connects to negative tab(Im pretty sure), if not then positive, but try negative first, I think thats the one as I recently did this....

When you disconnected coil wires, you probably dropped the black wire somewhere between the distributor and left side of the car.. It probably swung down against the firewall somewhere. I took a while before I spotted mine....

Hook that up and youre good...

I found that timing my car with the steel bal through the hole on top doiesnt work, timing is wrong.. By turning the engine slowly by rocking the car 2nd or 4th gear, I found another mark someone had made, and thought hmmm, maybe the flywheel is on different or is another year flywheel.. I gave it a try and the timing is purrrrfect.... long shot, but cosider that, as I adjusted my carb like crazy thinkin, NO< I HAD THAT BALL IN THE HOLE AT 1200 rpm!
