Bulk Delete in Messenger not Working

In messenger when you select all messages on a page, the trash can icon no longer appears on the page to delete all the selected messages at once.  Now you need to go into each message and delete them individually which is very time consuming when your inbox is 97% full!  This is happening on my iPhone 10, not sure if it’s a problem on others phones or computers.  Any way to bring back this bulk delete option, it seemed to have just recently disappeared with the site upgrade?
