Removed from a Forum members very nice condition BMW 2002 that had a Honda S2000 conversion.

 

ENGINE VIN 2781796

Block cast on April 18, 1974 ("18D74" in oval frame on right side of block). This is consistent with engine number, 2781796, which I would estimate came out of a May 1974 car. 

 

I will throw in the following that I received with the engine-
KF linkage
Metal air intake elbow for K&N Cone Filter - No stock airbox
Alternator and Clutch are NOT included

 

Here is statement about the engine from forum member PatrickMTL whose beautiful BMW 2002 this engine was removed from;

"my compression test results were between 150 and 160; pretty well balanced, I suspect a cam swap, my experience with the motor is that it ran well for me, and though I knew no specifics as I had bought it as a stalled restoration it appeared to have been done quite nicely and I think the motor would be good-to-go with just a recent oil leak needing to be dealt with"
