1969 BMW 2002 - $6500 FIRM - Fresh Paint/Body - New shocks/coil springs, tie rods etc. Needs some reassembly I purchased this car in 2017 from an enthusiast in Oregon. He had done some body work, installed some sound deadener in the interior and did some suspension work and a new exhaust system. Car ran well, shifted well and just needed the body work completed and a paint job and reassembly. The passenger seat needs to be figured out; I think the seat back release isn't releasing. I had shipped out to San Diego and delivered to my shop that does paint/body. We used a PPG paint in Chamonix and clear coat; it is originally Sahara but I already have a '73tii that color and didn't want two the same. Plus I am really not a fan of Sahara - Sorry! As many project go; my shop had the car until a few months ago. This is a $3,000 paint job with minor body work; not a crappy Maaco but not show car quality either. The car didn't start right up; turns over but not getting fuel. I will work that out so it is a running, driving car; just haven't had time or been referred a good mechanic since I moved to Carlsbad. Rust repaired on spare tire well and rust spot on drivers front frame rail (minor). The car comes with the following items that are all pictured: Front and rear bumpers w/brackets Driver Condition - I have a brand new stainless steel bumper set from Dtech in Texas I will sell separately if interested. I paid $1,000 for the shorty set. It is a great car and deserves to be easily put back together and enjoyed. Looking to offer in a price range that will encourage the right person to own an amazing classic. The car will come with an Oregon Title in previous owners name as I never registered in my own. It is insured with Hagerty.

I don’t know if they will fit over the big brake kit; I would imagine a 15” wheel would fit better than a 13 or 14. I got these specifically for my 1969 2002 and they had the perfect stance when I test fit. You may want to ask IR about the figment over big brakes; these wheels are similar to Rota RB which are very common fitment on 02 so they may know. I dont want to part out but not getting much interest for the car as a whole and NEED to pass on some of my projects. The car is very clean; everything works, starts right up, shifts very well and low miles. The Recaro's as Steve mentions do LOOK beat up but really just need to be recovered, the foam is not too bad and all controls are there and in nice condition. Yes, the matching spare that I found in a donor car had the tire cut off and looks very lonely in that picture; i was just excited to find a matching OEM wheel for the IS..HA! The original carpet is nice, both functions of the sunroof work great. Overall a nice car. Rust is very minimal; was hit in the drivers rear and repaired but Bondo is coming loose. The previous owner who used as a daily driver used some mesh, POR15 and painted; looking underneath it was not that bad. Has original window sticker and a bunch of receipts. ENGINE VIN 2781796 Block cast on April 18, 1974 ("18D74" in oval frame on right side of block). This is consistent with engine number, 2781796, which I would estimate came out of a May 1974 car. I will throw in the following that I received with the engine- KF linkage Metal air intake elbow for K&N Cone Filter - No stock airbox Alternator and Clutch are NOT included Here is statement about the engine from forum member PatrickMTL whose beautiful BMW 2002 this engine was removed from; "my compression test results were between 150 and 160; pretty well balanced, I suspect a cam swap, my experience with the motor is that it ran well for me, and though I knew no specifics as I had bought it as a stalled restoration it appeared to have been done quite nicely and I think the motor would be good-to-go with just a recent oil leak needing to be dealt with"

Jesse, I do not know if it will in regard to engine mounts. Maybe another forum member could chime in or you can search. The engine has a blown head gasket, if your head is good it might work. We were going to remove the fuel injection anyways. If you wanted the engine; I would probably let you have it if you provide labor to pull. It is located in Murrieta CA. Thanks Charles
