question Embedded link problem

As a new member and new 2002 owner, I am often clicking on embedded in posts links to find additional information of to view "how to" threads.  It seems, more often than not, I am redirected to the "dead link" page that shows:

 

  Sorry, we couldn't find that!

We could not find the page you were looking for.

 

 

I get the same result in both Firefox and IE.   Do I need to change some setting on my computer or are there really that many deleted threads?

I do not normally remove the posts, but a couple years ago i had to do a software upgrade in which we lost the actual links. The information is still there, but the address is different. I have been trying to either remove or convert them when i find them, but that is a very time consuming task. A search with proper keywords usually brings out the results.
