Hey all...

Another wonderful weekend at Laguna Seca has come and gone, and almost appropriately for us 02ers attending, they saved the best for last on Sunday with the last race, Group 8B, consisting of Production GT cars under 2000cc, 1963-1968. Five '02's in the preliminary heat (a '68 ti, 3 '67 trans ams, and a '70 '02 (my favorite)) , of the five: four qualified for the afternoon race...all four in the front of the pack. But unfortunately due to a few mechanical probs, a wild spin on the Andretti Hairpin, and the nimble toes of some of the competition...they didn't finish in the front, and two didn't finish at all.

A 1966 Ginetta G-12 took the checkered with a '63 Morgan 4/4 on it's heels, but the two remaining '02's that finished placed in the top of the pack and put on one hell of a show. (and put one hell of a big smile on my face...)

more pics and video to come. (sorry 'bout the low res, but my camcorder's 'still' function isn't the greatest...)

Happy 02ing...see you next year.

were you on the "Hill" across from the corkscrew with a really long lens? Real good anticipation to capture the spin shot. thanks again- i was just on the hill for some SCCA racing a couple weekends ago and with a digital camera- it was useless to try and take pics.
