Not sure why it made me post under bmw320, but here is my listing for my baby.

Looking to sell/trade my Turbo E21. She is a 1983 320is car. Is optioned cars only came as 5SPD and with a 3.91 LSD. Currently has 285K miles on the WORKING odometer. Obviously the motor has been rebuilt/built up to withstand the turbo set-up. I wasn't the one that built the engine but she runs like a top. The turbo was sent off for a rebuild last year by the previous owner. It is a century turbo setup. Currently she is running on 10PSI making 215 WHP. The car has not been dynoed but cars with the same setup/boost are making 230 at the wheels. Interior is easllly a 7/10 for its age. The dash has very very minor cracks, but it also comes with a dash cover. Looking to trade for M50 swapped E30's or a clean 325is. Specs/mods listed below also. As far as a selling price. 5400$ is a fair starting point.

Mods:

built 1.8L engine

Century turbo setup tuned for 93 Octane

AEM 02 wideband as well as boost/VAC gauge.

Custom 3' exhaust.

OEM E30 hella ellisoids with HID lights.

front rear strut braces and swaybars by Mason engineering.

New IS suspension.

The bad- car has some minor clear coat peel on the roof, its hard to see because white car. The car has 2 rust spots. They are NOT major. One is under the passenger door and one under the rear passenger side tail light. I have gotten them both quoted to get them fixed the correct way ( cut out and metal re-welded in) and they quoted me 350$. I can have this done for you if you would like to pay for it.

The car weighs roughly 2400 lbs. 215 HP at 2400lbs is more than enough power to rustle your jimmies :firehop:

The reason for the missing high beams- to bring cooler air into the engine bay. I can do multiple pulls and put my hand right on the charge pipes. Purely functional.

On to the pics:

I know that here on 2002FAQ I'm not known, but I am well known on other bmw community boards.

On Bimmerforums I'm known as "yourapeein"

on Carolinaeuros I'm known as "silverbullet"

I'm not looking for a pristine car, because my car is not pristine. I'm willing to trade a little down. But the car must be in good running condition. I say this because this car is my daily driver when the weather is nice and cold :]. The car has never left me stranded, has a new radiator, plugs, wires. I'm getting ready to do a valve adjustment and replace the cover gasket. Also I'm changing out the intake boot and the fuel filter. The car has good brakes/tires and a new clutch. The odometer still works- Imagine that!! Just pushed her over 284K miles. If you do not like the smoked side-markers I'd be more than happy to take off the plasti-dip for you. I hope that we can make a deal!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
