A differnet type of deuce

After months of lurking, learning, disassembly I figured I would post some pics of my project.

So how does a guys who was raised around street rods catch the beemer bug? My father still has three 1932 Fords and has owned a 57 t-bird…. I must be a major disappointment! I always was trying to talk them into buying a BMW as far back as the late 70’s… couldn’t get it done.

A friend in high school had a square light 2002. I loved that car… he thrashed it. I think it finally rotted away in his front yard.

Fast forward 25 years… I found this site and started watching Craigslist in the Bay Area. One day I saw this poor neglected little 1969 in Dublin. Brought her home and started tearing into it. Unfortunately I didn’t take too many pics while I was taking it apart but here is what it looked like when I brought her out of the barn..

One of the previous owners had cut a gaping hole between the trunk and cab… don’t know why, back seat was still in place so we had to fix that and also fill the custom-by-tin-snip 6x9 speaker holes
