I am looking for unmolested 14" bottlecap alloy from an E30 for my 2002. I already have 3 sets of 4 alloys but I am still looking for 1 or maybe 2 of these alloys that have lived in the trunk of an E30 as a spare and have NEVER seen pavement or the light of day. In about a year I am switching to 15 " panasports (new) so whatever I buy now will be for sale then. Of all my 14" inch alloys at least a few have minor scratches or very minor paint discoloration from aggressive washing. I would like to replace 1 or 2 on the beast presently. From my last 4 E28 parts cars I obtained 3 E28 spare bottlecaps that are showroom/never used but I do not ever buy E30 parts cars-thus this ad. If you have 1 or 2 SHOWROOM (never molested, never reconditioned) E30 bottlecaps please contact me. Alloys that have never been mounted on any car even for 3 miles prefered. If no one can help me-not the end of the world. Would prefer alloys would be located in upper right corner of USA but shipping will also work. Pictures would be great. I do not need a set of 4 alloys---only one or two. Please e-mail me or call me at 413 563 1829 after 9pm E. S. T. to 11pm or anytime on weekends best on phone.

A phone number would make this easier. A background on your wheels would help as would pictures. A friend of mine from the bay ares drives through Vacaville twice a month to the mountain home in the Nevadas. I drove through your town about 4 years ago driving my 2002 home from the bay area where I bought it. Very fun drive! Anyways have your E30 bottlecaps ever seen any pavement or rain. Do they look like they did when they were on an E30 in a BMW dealer showroom with no molestation? Pictures should answer these questions. I will look into shipping costs for the 3000 mile journey per wheel. If I purchase from you I would most likely have my friend meet up with you just off off Rt. 80 with cash. 413 563 1829. If possible could you weigh one of your bottlecaps.?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
