  1. It will be an interesting process. I've seen some YT videos of people replacing Porsche 911 roofs with carbon fiber. 2-part adhesive and clamps seems to be the way. I got lucky - I had a factory sunroof and had the metal panel welded into the hole to make it a slick top. Aside from having to modify/buy the headliner bows to clean up the interior, it was a pretty straightforward process.
  2. Nice! Looks faster already! Any lessons learned from the install?
  3. Wrapping up a 3 year restoration project and I’m hoping to re-home some parts. Let me know if more pictures would be helpful. I’ve posted some more on Imgur, under user name trimbk. Parts include: - Sunroof parts including guides and crank. Left side plastic guide is broken (selling this as a complete lot) - Used exterior waistline trim, including the large piece between the tail-lights. Misc dents. (Selling this as a complete lot) - Rear reflectors, license plate lights (probably not serviceable) - Air filter, upper and lower timing cover, valve cover, head, cam (rusty), oil pan Make reasonable offers. I’m more interested in cleaning the garage than paying for the infinite labor that I put into this project. 1973 BMW 2002 Sunroof Parts IMGUR.COM Imgur: The magic of the Internet 1973 BMW 2002 Exterior trim parts IMGUR.COM Imgur: The magic of the Internet 1973 BMW 2002 Engine parts IMGUR.COM Imgur: The magic of the Internet
  4. Mostly complete bumper set from a ‘73. Missing the wrap-around pieces for the junctions in the rear and some rubber pieces. Center section has never been mounted to a car. One of the rear mount ovals is slightly mis-shaped. Definitely some defects, but in good shape overall. Local pickup, or we can work something out regarding shipping; shipping price not included. Price is OBO. Looking to fund some fiberglass bumpers. More pictures available upon request.
  5. @m42002 Your install looks great. Did you have to modify the tunnel? I got the Hurricane mockup unit and there does not seem to be enough room to fit behind the console without a modification to the tunnel. There is some clearance between the tunnel and the transmission, but not a lot. My car was originally an automatic that got converted to manual sometime in the past, so that may make the dimensions a little tighter as well.
  6. @conkitchen Happy to sell the gasket. I think a new one is about $20. Postage may be more than that...? Happy to Help if you want it. @Conserv The engine’s not original to the car I have (I’m pretty sure my car was an automatic once upon a time), but the manifold seems original to it’s engine. Not sure. Pictures attached. PM me if you decide it’s what you are looking for. @2K2 Tommy There’s a local person interested in the driveshaft. I could probably fit the valve cover in one of those USPS flat rate boxes. No idea about the cost of shipping the driveshaft, but I can check. I’m just I guy trying to clean out the garage, so I don’t have access to good shipping deals. PM me and we can work something out.
  7. Complete breakdown of M10 engine. Engine was not running when I acquired it; pistons were rusted to the bores. It’s been disassembled and I won’t be using any of it. The 4 speed transmission appears to be complete. I have already acquired another M10 for my project so I’d like to find this one a good home. Includes crankshaft. 8. One more shout out before this stiff winds up scrap metal. I’d much rather find it a good home. 336 area code. 446-9085. Central NC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. If you know anyone who wants these parts, send them my way. Not looking for big money, just looking for garage space and to keep them out of the recycling bin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I bought the car with this engine. It was a 4-speed swap into an automatic chassis. It had sat for 20 years and I could not get it to turn, so it got disassembled. The only issues noted were the rough conditions of the cylinder bores. All the parts are for sale as a package, disassembled with well marked fastener packs. Pictures here: https://imgur.com/gallery/vZuiYGO Located in central NC. Looking for reasonable offers. Need the garage space to continue with my project. Michael Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
