  1. Just got an OC25 filter from FCP Euro and apparently they are made in China now. Fortunately I had a couple made in Austria in stock on the shelf.

It may not matter to everyone, but I’d prefer a euro made filter. Guess I’ll start seeing what’s still made over there. I know China is capable of making a good product, but usually when manufacturing is shipped there it’s to meet a price point , not quality.

  2. After a couple seasons of autocross, I decided to try one of those "I've always wanted to..." things and ran the BCA/NHA Cope-Myers Memorial Hillclimb at Maryhill Loops road. Unlike autocross there are no PAX times based on class, just raw times. That said, except for one  car, I had the least HP in the event, but managed to beat ten cars, and was in striking distance of a couple more. Big props to the crew at Northwest Hillclimb Assoc. and Bridge City Autosports, they put on a great event!

Also shout out to DanJer and their longer control arms for allowing me to use all of the front tire. The front has never felt so planted!

If you are the type to drive your '02 in anger, I highly recommend it! I'll be back for more!

  3. Thanks. I paid top dollar, but it’s a nice car and a Series 1 Euro doesn’t come along every day. With E9’s now firmly six figure cars, I think these are on the up like 80’s Porsches are now doing since early 911’s are ridiculous.

Either way I love it. It makes me smile every time I am near it.

  4. Hello,

Will need to get some manual trans work done on one of my non-2002’s (E24) in the future, and was wondering if there was any preference between two well known Portland area shops? Boyd’s Motor Werks and Munich Motorworks. I know both are popular.  I know one person who uses Boyd’s and likes them, but have not talked to anyone who has used Munich.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    John

  5. Price: $65
    Location: St Helens OR

    Description:

Up for sale cool pair of vintage soft auxiliary light covers. They have checkered flag motif along with a head on view of what looks to be a vintage Grand Prix car. They measure a touch over 7”. Fit real loose on my 7” Cibie lights, but fit well on my Hella Rallye 1000’s. Would probably fit Oscars well

    $65 shipped
