  1. Job complete. Two blown fuses in my amp. Replaced and all in perfect harmonious order. I probably should have ensured the amp and radio was off before messing with battery. Thank you again fro all the comments and advice. JP
  2. Everything went in great with the 26R. The engine started right up with no issues. Unfortunately, I'm getting no sound from my radio now although the radio does seem to be on. I have a modern Blaupunkt Toronto 420 BT. I guess it's time to look for fuses. JP
  3. I had to remove the 4 bolts holding on the radiator and pushed it aside to make enough room to pull the group size 47 that was in there. You're right...it was not that hard once I figured it out. Although the Sears Automotive salesman was trying annoyingly hard to sell me another 47, I purchased a 26R for nearly half the price (and half the warranty). I'll have it in after I clean up the area a little while I'm in there. Thanks again...great info as usual. JP
  4. I appreciate the advice everyone. Unfortunately the PO put in an Interstate MT47 and I cannot remove it without moving the radiator over or removing the brake master cylinder (don't want to do that). I'll figure this out and look for the right battery. JP Oh yes, I changed my avatar to avoid confusion...
  5. I am replacing my battery on my 1974 TII for the first time and was wondering: 1. What is the best replacement battery? 2. What is the best way to remove it? The intake box needs to come off but what else? Thank you, Jon
