i dont actually know what is in the block, we haven't taken the head off yet, We just happen to have a nice 2002 head, and I was considering swapping it out for the 318 head when I do a head gasket.
Thanks for the advice. For now I will probably just keep the 318 head unless there is some kind of a performance gain from the 2002.
of course there are a host of other issues with this motor, it idles rough, runs rich, leaks oil from the head and distributor, blows water out of the exhaust, and, and has sorta poor throttle response.
This is a 24 hours of lemons car, so it goes without saying we have no idea where the motor came from.
