    Just a quick update and thank you for your help. The fix was simple and a bit embarrassing. I misread the direction of the fuel filter. I flipped it, checked the hoses and tightened things down. It's now running beautifully and took a couple of drives this weekend in the VA countryside. Thanks again, Peter

    Good morning, I have a 72 tii that is fairly stock. I had been driving it fairly regularly when one day I backed out of the garage and noticed a gas puddle. I lifted up the hood and it appeared that gas was leaking where the top hose connects to the fuel filter. I shut the engine immediately and tightened all surrounding hose clamps. That had a minor positive affect, but eventually fuel leaked again and so I replaced the fuel filter. It did not solve the problem and I'm not sure how to proceed. I've searched the board for similar situations with no luck. I discovered this problem over a year ago and have put it off until now. I finally have a weekend to see if I can solve the problem.
