  1. Im so all over this. When do you need some help moving some giant rock. Im down to cook, down to bbq. Working on my car could be an after thought I just dig eating and cooking with people that have similar interests. But responsibly I probably atleast need to bleed my warn out brakes.
  2. Bill you are the man. Let me know when you finish yours up and how well it works out for you. I certainly gotta do something.
  3. So my brother is a genius when it comes to aluminum/steel basically any metal. He's a chopper builder. I should see if he can build me something for a rear disk brake kit. On a limited budget I gotta figure out cheaper ways to get things done. What rotors are you planning on using? Calipers yadayadayada. If you are ofcourse down to share.
  4. Well it looks like we might need to have a tuneup party/bbq I'll cook if you guys help me fix a few things. Might need a little donation also for a few pieces of meat and or vegetables. BYOB right? Can we make this a Bay Area 02 event? If I lived somewhere other then an apartment complex that has issues when I so much as check my tire pressure we could totally do it at my place. Jesus I need a house, then food would be on.
  5. I need someone who knows more about my car in the bay area to help me a bit to retune my car after the smog testing wich I passed. I can do a little bit but I could use a little help in person. Carb, timing valves, almost everything. My brakes are also shot. Im not asking you to do the work I want to do the work, just help get to where I need to be with your knowledge. Im broke but have beer and Im a professional chef. With fine dinning experience. I'll cook for you and your wife clean your kitchen better then it was when I showed up and then get out so you guys can do your thing. I geuss its my way of meeting a few 02ers and showing off a bit with my food abilities. And making Bernice run a little better.
  6. My son barrowed my test light and he can't find it. Im not in the mood to go buy another one. But i need a quick color for ignition switched. Attaching something to the ignition side of the switch. Can you guys shoot me a color real quick so I can hook this up?
  7. Great Idea, my seatbelt dash light has never really worked so I considered just taking it out but then I have the housing on the top to worry about. Thanks for the write up and idea. I ordered my clock last week and today I got a chance to work on it, but added a remote button to it so you can change the time without taking the cover off. I wish my camera worked so I could show pics how its done but maybe my writting will make sence. If you look at the circuit board on the clock around where the buttons are supposed to be you will notice that the buttons are regular on off momentary switches. The top connection is power (on the back is a resistor on the power side.) to the switch when you push the button it supplys power to the hour or minutes. Buy way of the circuit board. But you can solder two leads on the power supply and to one side of a each momentary switch. Remove the buttons they are just tapped on from front to back and you will see the circuit. If you know a little bit about basic electronics and how switches work this will make sence. I just got a pack of tiny red momentary switches from radio shack and installed them in the "now clock housing" on the side by the screw. I can now change the time without pulling the housing apart. And like you said this is one of my favorite things about the car. Along with my trunk light that comes on when I open the trunk. Thanks again.
  8. Maybe I just did a bunch of work for no reason sence I never noticed that light from the tail lights. But when I get out of my car I always turn my lights off this I suppose gives me the option to still have a trunk light with my lights off and the rest of the car locked up.
  9. My camera is dead I will be buying a new one later today hopefully. Anyway yesterday I looked through a box of junk at a garage sale and found a trunk light from a random car. Most of them have a ground wire and a constant source. So I installed into my 02. At any car alarm shop you should be able to get a trunk or hood trigger switch if your in good with them they will give it to you for free otherwise it will cost maybe $5. I got mine from a parts box I have from installing alarms in my youth. Just mount the hood pin/trunk trigger switch so the switch is closed when the trunk opens. Its a plunger type switch when the trunk is closed the switch is open. When the trunk is open the switch is closed. My switch is identical to this switch http://lff.manufacturer.globalsources.com/si/6008810210685/pdtl/Car-alarm/1001149248/Pin-Switch.htm. This will be the ground side of your new light. The constant side I ran to a constant power wire in the ignition switch with a fuse ofcourse. If you run another wire with your constant wire twist them together with a drill. This second wire can be used to trigger an alarm if infact someone opens your trunk. So now when I open my trunk a light comes on and I can find whatever it is I need in the trunk late at night. This write up may be useless if these cars originally had trunk lights. My car doesn't have one maybe the PO took it out or they just didn't have them altogether. I'll try to post pics later today if I do infact get a new camera.
  10. The seats do infact fit and look great, I've always liked the Audi leather and the center arm rest is nice for the step son. So now I have a set of good rear seats and a set of pretty good fronts forsale $150.00 When I sell my rear seat I will get the audi seat and take pics. Not much modification at all really.
  11. WHat about Rondezvous: By Claude Lelouch. If you haven't seen that film you should google it. I bought it from Amazon because I needed it on DVD.
