Looking for a good (as in working) Tii brake booster.
Canmore, Alberta in Canada.

Thanks Pat. I have a WMS wideband and it probably has the data outputs as well. Probably won't work with mac computers. I've used the AF logging feature and have the air/fuel pretty much dialled from idle to redline.
The lingering issues I'm having are low speed operation as in cold start (fast idle just 1000rpm), throttle sensitivity (slight hesitation) and engine occasionally dies when idling. All minor drivability issues that I keep tinkering with.
Your Turbo looks fantastic.

Pat:
I've installed SDS EM4 6F in my73CS. What are you using for data logging?

If you go the under seat route with an Odyssey 680 battery then just one would do for the m10 2002.

Or you could put one under the rear seat. From my 73 CS

Anthony: Congratulations and great photos. What's the status of Race City - last year or did the Council extension stay in place?

Hi Pat:
I've just install SDS EM-4 6F in my 1973 CS - a 1985 535i transplant that was set up as a twin 38/38 weber carb. Looking for advice on spark plugs and wondering what you use. This is a non turbo so your selection may not help but if you are still using the standard WR8 or WR9 series of plugs then I won't bother with Platinum +2 that were suggested by Bosch.
Go Habs!!!!! 5-1

Have you seen this - scroll part way down to the full console set.

Karel:
Haven't seen the list for a while. Been working on the SDS EFI conversion on the CS and need to put the oh too on the hoist to align the driveshaft but there seems to be a line up for the lift.
I'll email you to set up a drive.

You're welcome to come give mine a drive - engine mounts and the steering coupler are all 'thane. If it ever stops snowing.

No particular year as long as it is a manual. I've only seen one part number listed for the e3 from 1968 -73 (32111105301).
-
To convert my CS to manual - can't afford a real CSL CR steering box. Any others that would work?

Interesting discussion that more then answers my question. Thanks all.
Until I can afford new shoes for the car I'll have to dust off the bar bells = old school power steering.

Thanks CD. I realize that the 320i is a very different steering/suspension and that has a lot to do with the feel but wondered about the ET as well.

I have 5.5 x 13 ET 11 basket weaves/ Yoko Avid's on the car and am surprised at how heavy the steering feels a low speed. Given that the ideal offset is in the 25 +/- range - does a smaller ET that moves the wheel out from center increase the required effort to turn the wheel? Any unusual strain on the bearings as a result?
Don't notice this at speed but parking a bit of a grunt compared to my previous '81 320i.
Curious - not concerned.

Here is the recommended tuning practise for the 38/38 downdraft. Warm the engine to running temp first.

Check this out from the official Earl's #1 store. No I haven't tried it myself.
-
Can we expand a bit on sealant and gaskets as in when and where do you use sealant? Cooling system water neck at block? Intake runners if Tii, Throttle body? Timing chain cover?
TIA,
Doug

That may be at the 49th parallel but the only part Edmonton is south of is Alaska. Maybe Ms Palin would check it out for you.

The 780 area code is Alberta and guessing in the Edmonton area.
