Does not matter to me. You can also add the caravan to the calendar.
Steve
Ok, thanks. I will be scouting some locations this weekend.

Just registered. I also have let procrastination set it. Much to do with only a week left to do it!
Steve, I was thinking about arranging a pre-meet somewhere in the Emeryville area for us East Bay attendees so that we could caravan to the show (it would be super cool to see a bunch of 02's going over the Bay Bridge together!) Would you be ok me doing that on this thread or would you rather have me do it in the regional section of the forum?

I just ordered something from them on Sunday night and it shipped today. Got a notification from them along with tracking info. What does your order status show on their website?

sczapiga, sorry for the late reply. I was planning on going down with my kids too, but the 02 was partially taken apart for repairs. I'm in Berkeley but I would have met up with you somewhere to drive down together. Let's see if we can zoom down there next month.

I can’t believe you sold those seats for less than $100. I hear they are worth$1000 these days, even with the tears.

I had the same issue with mine so I bent the cotter pin down towards the nut and over one of the castle openings. Not sure if this is the proper way to do this, if not then I might need to add some washers too.

Made it there in my Golf 2002 with my 3 sons. My first one ever and met some of the coolest and knowledgeable people in the 02 community. Max, Diego and Danny, thank you for all the insight you gave me. Looking forward to going again and next time I’ll get there much earlier.

I know I'm late to the party but with some of the folks passing on these, I would love to be on the list for both the header and extension.
I live right around the corner from H&B too, so let me know if I can help in anyway.
Thanks!

This stuff is awesome. I used it for the inside of my door skins on my Toyota Tacoma and it made a world of difference in regards to road noise and stereo system sound quality.

@Gh356I’m about to remove my nearly new IE exhaust— It’s too quiet for me (was put on by previous owner), currently researching how to get it back to its rowdy persona when i owned it the first time over 10years ago.
I live in Pasadena. Let me know!
@poindexterity since I used to own your car back in the late 90’s early 2000’s, I can tell you what exhaust you had before. It was Monza and that sucker was mean sounding. My friends said it reminded them of the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller. If you look at the photos below, you will see the tapered exhaust tip and the engine shot shows a Monza sticker next to the eibach sticker.
Ever since you told me you got old blue back I started looking for an 02 and got one to work on with my oldest son. I’m in the market for that IE exhaust, maybe I can run down to Pasadena and pick it up. PM me if you want to cut a deal. -
I took this kid for his first driving lesson as a reward for helping me get the 2002 up and running and for finishing his homework. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it but I was too nervous to think about that. He’s 14 and a half.

I would suggest you pop into your local Les Schwab and ask them about getting your wheels powder coated. I just did this for my steelies and couldn’t be happier. About $30.00 a wheel. They sandblast and powder coat each wheel cheaper than anyone I’ve ever gotten quotes from. You can choose your color too.

So after sending repeated messages to this guy with no answer, he updated his post on CL to say that he changed his mind and no longer is interested in selling it at this time. If it was posted for a different price in 2011, does that mean that he's done this before where he strings people along and then doesn't end up selling his car?
-
Wow that's pretty freakin cool. I'm so glad that you ended up with that car again. That was my first 2002 and I still have dreams (literally) that I ended up buying it back. I still remember the time when you were selling it and you told me to come out to see it one last time and we went for a spirited drive in the Oakland hills. You had Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs in the CD player and where getting ready to move to L.A. to become famous. That was super cool of you. I would love to see more photos of Bobbie and the changes you make along the way. Most of my family is in the L.A. area so when this Covid situation settles down, you can bet I'm gonna wanna hit you up. Thanks for bringing back great memories!

Hey Guys,
Wanted to see how many of the East Bay members wanted to pre-meet in a central location before crossing the Bay Bridge. I figured we could meet at Weatherford BMW parking lot (735 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA 94710) around 8:15 - 8:30 and then head over as a group to Brisbane around 9:00am.
