Sorry to hear the news.The car is very nice built right and flys,one of my local favorites.

I just got back from a drive.The dual weber 45s are a blast.They sputter a bit and fart at first start but then are great.Tuning is a real challenge for me.

And back to the topic,my milage sucks,teens in town is about it but the rorty fun is worth the extra gas.

I have a 2010 GTI 2.0 turbo.The car is built like a tank and the motor is very smooth and good power thru the range.Had a 2007 same motor,27k on that one w/o any issue.I use the VW as a daily driver and use the 73 2002 quite often as well.Opps sorry the 2.0 from a 2006 is the older 5V design a different mill, with a fair reputation capable of major horsepower .

Thanks for your input.The pipercross filters are foam.I guess my K&N cleaner and oil should do the trick.

Any tips tricks or just the correct way to clean a foam Piperx air cleaners?all help would be appreciated.
