We are back at a new location for the start of our car show season! BMWCCA Burgers and Beers 12pm-3pm Black Raven Woodinville Taproom 15902 Redmond-Woodinville Rd NE Woodinville, WA 98072 https://blackravenbrewing.com/ Since this is a new location, I've found a new pre-meet spot for us to cue up and drive into the show as a big group like we've done in past years. Let's meet across the street at Racecraft at 11am, then head over for the opening at 11:30am. I spoke to the owner of Racecraft and he's cool with us using his parking lot as a pre-meet spot. Let me know if anyone is interested in a tour of the shop before hand and I'll try to coordinate. If we can't make it happen on the 11th, I can get us scheduled on a different day/time. Racecraft 11am-11:30am 15815 Redmond -Woodinville Rd NW Note that the time slot for the event is shorter than in past years. So if you're planning on attending make sure to go early. The parking area doesn't look as big as Triple X so I think space will fill up quickly. Look forward to catching up with y'all! James ------------------ Here are the deets from the BMWCCA. Mark your calendars for Saturday May 11 from noon to 3:00 pm for BMWs and Burgers at the Black Raven Taproom in Woodinville. If you are thinking that we are adding another well-loved Bavarian specialty to the event—namely some finely crafted beers, then you would be correct. In addition to Black Raven’s menu of finely crafted beers and panini sandwiches, The People's Burger food truck will also be available for the event’s no host food and drink activity. “Der Volksburger” is a regular for most all the events held at T-Mobile and Lumen stadiums, so you’ve likely already either smelled or tasted the deliciousness coming from this “Lastkraftwagen.” As you may know, the XXX restaurant in Issaquah where we’ve held previous events is under new ownership and is not quite ready to host an event the size of BMW and Burgers. Also, because May 11th is part of Mother’s Day Weekend, all mothers attending will receive a special gift on behalf of the Club. Admission is $5 (payable at the event) to park your BMW, and the event is open to both members and non-members. Paid non-member attendees will receive one raffle ticket per vehicle while paid members will receive two raffle tickets and a discount on purchase of additional tickets. Proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity. We’ll start parking cars at 11:30 am, which is 30 minutes prior to Black Raven’s noon opening time, so manage your bio-breaks as necessary as restrooms will not be available early. See you there! 2. We’re taking the backroads from Liberty, Missouri, to Excelsior Springs and beyond! It will be a blast, with some challenging twists and turns, and some gorgeous views of Missouri’s rolling hillsides. This event is especially for Neue Klasse BMWs and BMW 2002s, but is open to all vintage sports cars. Pre-1980 is probably a good, rough guideline. Cars built post-1980 are welcome to cruise at the back of the vintage pack. This cruise will be a relaxed drive with some spirited cornering, but no high speed monkey business. We want everyone to enjoy their vintage cars to the fullest, safely, and without undue duress. Safe following distances and reasonable speeds are expected. Drivers should meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Roasterie, 2663 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108. We will depart the Roasterie at 10:15 a.m. We’ll take I-35 North to Liberty, exit at the South Liberty Parkway. We can reconvene our parade on South Liberty Parkway, if need be. If we remain all together, then we’ll keep rolling. The parkway takes us to Highway 291 North into Liberty. We jog east briefly on Mill Street, then follow Highway H out of town and all the way to Excelsior Springs. Enjoy the scenery and have fun, but don’t let any of the hard turns surprise you. At Excelsior Springs, Highway H becomes St. Louis Ave. At Kearney Road, we’ll navigate our way to the Other Trails Coffee & Goods (115 E. Broadway) for a short break, coffee, and snacks. From there, we continue east on Kearney Road, also known as Highway 10, until we reach Wood Heights. We turn south on Route O, another fantastic rural highway, to 210 Highway West. That takes us right back to North Kansas City and I-35 South back toward downtown KC. Please join us! The more the merrier.
