the timing problems were a out of whack as possible. Crank notch was nowhere near any corect timing position and the chain was streched and looked about a link longer. BUT the problem was due to the timing chain, it had slackened just enough to double over one link then when the engine was rotated it caused the chain to stay doubled up with just enough strength to become a problem. All in all it was an excellent LESSON in taking time and planing better. So all in all, new oil pan gasket, front crank seal and timing cover gaskets, head gasket, timing chain, valve cover gasket and so on....but thanks alot, I owe you one
